WIN Gr 3 Salvator Mile!
Well, that's the good news. I also won early in the day in the second with Outwildcattin at 3/5. But the rest of the selections on the day all turned up without a win. I was second once and third twice. I had handicapped several races from Woodbine where it was Queen's Plate Day and I won with one of the stakes selections when Something Extra wired the Grade 2 Highlander Stakes over the turf. I really think I would have won the feature, and my "Best" of the day at Woodbine with favored We Miss Artie who was unbeaten over synthetic tracks. But at the break he jumped straight up in the air and spotted the field about six lenghts. He rallied strongly on the turn and thought just maybe, but he'd used up too much energy just to get back in touch with the field early on - especially at this mile and a quarter distance.
But my big win for the project was in the Gr 3 Salvator Mile with Itsmyluckyday. He pressed the pace to the stretch, moved three wide and then blew by the field under a hand ride. TONS the best here!
No live racing until Friday.......
