May 15: PREAKNESS Week!
I won with my first bet of the week when Givemethreestepsmr wore down the longtime, longshot front runner in deep stretch. I had two seconds from my other three selections on the day for a small loss. Tomorrow is Black-Eyed Susan Day, which is the Pimlico version of the Kentucky Oaks Day. But it isn't nearly as strong of a racing card because unlike the colts on Saturday, there is no Triple Crown for the fillies, so while the Oaks card is stacked with many of the best fillies & mares in their stakes races, there are few of those stars left for the Pimlico Friday features. A little concerned about the forecast which calls for a LOT of rain on Friday. But, my "BET of the Day" on the card in the Jim McKay Turf Sprint - Ben's Cat - can run equally as well on the off-going.
